Bar none
The good-old-boy system is alive and well on the Keller City Council.
I feel it is important for our citizens to fully understand the role and responsibilities of Keller’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
The lesson apparently was not learned. About a month ago, at about 7 a.m., I encountered numerous Keller High School cross country runners as I was driving south on Elaine Street. The runners were completely blocking the southbound lane. What was worse was that several runners were suddenly cutting across the street to the northbound side.
By a vote of 3 to 2, the Keller City Council voted that Jim Carson did not violate the City Charter. But out of the other side of their mouths, they stated that Jim interferes with city staff.
In the Oct 26th issue of the Keller Citizen, I challenged the Central Charger Football team to unify as a team. I don’t know if it was read, but I felt compelled to write again; this time to say thank you to the boys who fight for the honor of Central High School every Friday night in the fall.
At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, I sat in amazement as the Old Guard (with the implicit help of our Interim City Manager) tried to oust Councilman Jim Carson from office, a de facto coup d’état.
