Rites of springtime

Football teams have reappeared on Keller ISD practice fields, but only for a limited time.

Teams at all three high schools are back in action this month participating in spring workouts.

The University Interscholastic League – the governing body of Texas high school athletic and academic competition – allows Class 5A and 4A football programs 18 days of spring practices to be contained to a 30-calendar-day period.

Keller, Fossil Ridge and Central will all be in District 5-5A next season, the first time all three schools will share a league.
