All five middle schools win at tournament

Keller ISD high schools sponsored the Sixth Annual James Pederson Middle School Tennis Tournament of Champions last week at Central High.

Over 100 athletes from the five KISD middle schools participated in the event.

Zach Bond of Indians Springs won the boys singles title, while Hillwood’s Melissa Morriseau took first on the girls side.

Fossil Hill’s boys doubles team of Tim Lai and Gotham Warrier won its division, while the school’s girls doubles team of Holly Hadley and Laura Smith also won first place.

Didi Crous and Trevor Cook of Trinity Springs finished in first place in the mixed doubles division.

While the school didn’t have a first-place finisher, Keller Middle took the team championship, while Indians Springs finished in second.
